Resume/Statement

Color is the driving force in my artwork. For me, color is energy—alive, charged, and capable of creating a visual vibration. I’m drawn to high-keyed palettes because the stronger the color, the more power and presence the work carries.

My subject matter shifts, but the process always begins in my sketchbooks. I draw constantly, working through compositions and collecting ideas. Some days it feels like I have a million concepts waiting to be made. No matter the theme, my work always circles back to surrealism, which shapes the way I see and build images.

I’ve explored many mediums, but in recent years fiber has fascinated me the most. Sewing feels like drawing with lines and painting with color—different shades of yarn blend visually the way pigments do. Texture has always been central to my practice, and each medium offers a new surface and tactile language that helps complete the idea.

Nature runs through all of my work. We live in it, we’re surrounded by it, and it inevitably finds its way into what I create. My art reflects that connection.
